Councillor Barbara Brownridge, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Co-operatives, said: “The council is sick and tired of having to clean up waste that has been dumped by irresponsible people.

“I’m sure these sentiments will be shared by the vast majority of residents who clean up after themselves.

“Council employees should not have to drive around our borough picking up waste that people can’t be bothered to dispose of properly.

“With our budget being constantly cut this is not a good way for money to be spent and is not sustainable.

“Everyone needs to do their bit. If anyone sees people fly-tipping then we urge you to get in touch with us – these prosecutions we will take action if we find evidence.”
