Tandle Hill Park blooming bright thanks to Rotary crocus planting

AFTER much worry if the late planting in January of the 5,000 crocus bulbs at the Rotary Wheel in Tandle Hill Park would produce results, Rotary are happy to announce success, even though squirrels have eaten a few bulbs!

Crocus Planting success

There are lots of purple crocuses on the newly planted areas.

In future years they will expand to fill the spokes of the wheel and provide a swathe of purple each spring as well as a lasting tribute to past president David Holt.

If any local groups/schools would like to work with Rotary to plant more bulbs in October/November please call Andy: 01706 840266.
