In September 2018, 20 teams entered a battle of the brains at the third Annual Charity Professionals Quiz, organised by the branch, which raised a fantastic £1425.

The event held at Saddleworth Golf Club saw teams from legal, financial and professional services come together to support The Action Oldham Fund, which funds good causes across the borough.
These range from disabled football teams, to skills development for care leavers and projects tackling sexual exploitation.
The grants give vital support to the smaller, local groups who are enhancing health and well-being on our doorsteps or rebuilding lives affected by poverty, crime, isolation or unemployment.
Clare Taylor, Fund Development Co-ordinator said “We are really grateful that Handelsbanken chose to support Action Oldham Fund this year. We had great fun on the night, and our own team enjoyed a not too shoddy sixth place in the overall rankings!
We were thrilled with the generous donations of prizes we received from local businesses, and equally generous support from the Quiz attendees. The money raised at the Quiz will help us to fund more causes close to the heart and homes of many of the solicitors, accountants and other professionals who attended.”
