Happy birthday to us!

THIS edition is special as it marks the second anniversary of the launch of the Shaw and Crompton Correspondent.

Since we hit the streets in October 2017 the public and advertisers have embraced our free newspaper available at a host of outlets across the area.

It proved so popular that we introduced the Royton Correspondent in September 2018.

Most recently, we have increased pagination, enabling us to bring you unrivalled coverage and more stories, features and photographs of everything happening in Shaw and Crompton.

We have not been afraid to tackle local issues, most recently the proposed closure of Trent Road doctor’s surgery and the ongoing issues over proposed greenbelt development loathed by thousands of local residents.

We also love our sport and our journalists have a wealth of experience to bring to the publication.

That’s why we brought you exclusive pieces with potential Tokyo 2020 Olympians, Matt Walls and Jessica Fullalove, unrivalled coverage of the Tour of Britain and we were the only local media outlet represented when Crompton House reached the final of the English Schools’ Cup.
