A TEAM from host club Crompton and Royton claimed victory in the Joan Hirst Charity Cup, an Oldham Ladies Golf Association (OLGA) event.
The competition, a three-ball team Stableford with the best two scores to count on each hole, was won by president Joyce Adams, Denise Chambers and Debbie Field with 79 points as the trophy was presented by Saddleworth’s Jenny Knight, chair of OLGA.
Runners-up with 77 points was a team from Oldham, Charlie Wade, Ann Rotchell and Liz Johnson on the card from Saddleworth’s Jean Dervan, Linda Newman and Ann Walsh who had the same score.
The event raised £400 for Springhill Hospice.
