Inner Wheel and Oldham Rotary give over £5,000 boost to local causes

KIND-HEARTED members of the Inner Wheel Club of Oldham along with support from the Rotary Club of Oldham raised more than £5,000 for local causes.

They hosted a Lite Entertainment evening, afternoon tea at Friezland Church Hall, a coffee morning at Delph Methodist Church and various raffles.

Members presented a cheque for £800 to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice and in the photograph are presenting a cheque for £2,800 to Marie Curie Cancer Care and £300 to the Mikoroshoni Primary School in Mombasa, Kenya.

Further donations were made during the year to Mary’s Meals, Remap and the Mayor of Oldham’s Appeal Fund.
