MILNROW Post Office is to receive a major facelift and the public is invited to have its say in the final makeover.
Over the last five years, 7,500 branches have been transformed and now it’s the turn of the Dale Street premises.
But as part of the refurbishment, the Post Office may need to close for up to seven days during July or August.
The Post Office says: “We are confident that introducing a local style branch alongside a successful retail store is the most effective way to safeguard sustainable Post Office services in the Milnrow community into the future.
“Customers would access Post Office services at two, low-screened, open plan modern serving points which would be part of the retail counter.
“Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed,” explained the Post Office.
The branch would be open longer: Monday-Friday from 6pm-5.30pm, Saturday from 6am-2pm and Sunday from 6am-12 noon.
Before the work is carried out, feedback is now being accepted. Customers are asked to go online: www.postofficeviews.co.uk to fill in a survey. Alternatively, you can ring 03452 660115 or email: comments@postoffice.co.uk
