A POLICE dog helped arrest two people after a stolen car chase into the Royton and Shaw area.
The Ford Mondeo vehicle was halted by a Stinger in the early hours of today before a foot pursuit followed.
However, Police Dog Jaeger came into action as two assailants were captured and detained after Greater Manchester Police’s helicopter and Tactical Vehicle Intercept Unit also became involved.
A quantity of drugs was also seized and recovered by the dog.
After starting in the Rochdale area, the car travelled into the Royton and Shaw police area before the Stinger helped bring it to a halt.
