CROMPTON Stage Society presents Stepping Out by Richard Harris at Playhouse 2 in Shaw from February 15-22.
Stepping Out is a funny and touching play and centres around eight individuals from disparate backgrounds, with differing motivations. The group all attend the same weekly tap dancing class in a dingy church hall.
Despite the students at first treating the classes as social occasions and showing little co-ordination, they later develop a level of skill and cohesiveness that culminates in a spectacular dance number.
This comedy play was later turned into a popular movie starring Liza Minnelli and Julie Walters.
Playhouse 2’s newest venture sees the launch of the Golden Oldies’ film afternoon.
This takes place on the third Thursday of every month at 1pm.
