Both offices provide meeting rooms at ground floor level while staff also offer local free home/hospital visits to see clients who are immobile.

Mellors’ head office is at Post Office Building, Royton, OL2 6QJ. Since March they have also operated from 8 Church Lane, Oldham, OL1 3AP in premises previously occupied by Mellor and Jackson Solicitors which is no longer trading.

Conveyancer Linda Beswick and Lisa Oldham, the head of the Private Client department, both previously worked at Mellor and Jackson solicitors.

The company provides services to the residents of Oldham and beyond in matters relating to conveyancing, commercial property, wills and probate, powers of attorney, Court of Protection, personal injury, industrial disease plus commercial and general litigation.

Staff are well trained and experienced in their field of expertise. They are able to guide clients carefully through complicated or confusing areas of law and avoid pitfalls which may befall them if they do not seek professional, legal advice.

Adele Hallam prepares wills, lasting powers of attorney and deals with probate matters from the Royton office.

Adele has lived in Royton all her life and has provided wills and probate services in Royton since 2001.

The Royton office also houses a specialist team which deal with personal injury claims such as dental negligence, dermatitis claims, all types of industrial disease and road traffic accidents. These are all offered on a ‘no win, no fee’ basis.

During the month of October, Mellor Solicitors were delighted to be a part of the charitable Free Wills Month, offering wills to clients at no cost.

This venture was incredibly successful and enabled the firm to provide wills to those who otherwise may not have had the opportunity of making them.
