THE Oldham RLFC Players’ Awards Night for the 2018 season will be held at the Vestacare Stadium on Friday, November 9 with a 7.30pm start.
Fans will rub shoulders with the players in looking back on the roller-coaster of a season which had both highs and lows.
Five awards will be made to the Player of the Year (chosen by head coach Scott Naylor); the Players’ player of the year; the fans’ player of the year; the club person of the year; and the Unsung Hero of the year, the last two chosen by chairman Chris Hamilton.
Dress will be smart casual, replica shirts worn with pride, and the cost per person, which includes pie-and-mash supper with extras, will be £12.50.
Fans can book and pay online via the Roughyeds website or by cash or cheque at the Roughyeds office inside the Vestacare Stadium between 10am and 3pm on weekdays.
As the season is over, the office will not necessarily be manned ALL of those days and hours so fans are advised to ring Anne Kearns first on 07811988426 to make arrangements.
Said Anne: “It will be a fun night, very informal and an occasion for players and fans to come together as one as they have done all season from Workington to West Wales and from Hunslet to Hemel.
“It was a long, hot summer and the Awards Night brings it all to an end.”
Tickets will be limited so fans are advised to book and buy as quickly as possible.
