MARK DAVIES, the Bishop of Middleton, has officially opened the new Early Years classroom at East Crompton St George’s C E Primary School.
Over the summer holiday, two classrooms were knocked into one, making a much larger space for the reception children to explore and enjoy learning.
Bishop Mark enlisted the reception children’s help in counting down from five to zero, before shouting ‘Alleluia’ and cutting the ribbon.
Parents joined the official opening and shared their delight at the spacious and well equipped space.
East Crompton St George’s is part of the Cranmer Education Trust and linked with St James and St Saviours parish.
The school is set in large school grounds in Shaw with 60 allocated places per year group.
The school welcomes visits from prospective parents. They are welcome to visit the new reception classroom, fantastic grounds and nurturing ethos of the school.
