THE weather put paid to the first three Tuesday competitions.
The opening day event was a team medal that was won by Steve and Mike Tomkinson, Dave Capper and Steve Bower. They returned 128 that was 12 under par.
Runners-up were Gary Lamont, Dave Pearson, Tom Read and Nigel Wylie who were 130, 10 under par.
A three-division medal saw Jack Barnes (72-5-67) head the top one from Mike Shaw (72-1-71).
Mark Willmore (80-11-69) headed division two from Stuart Hopkinson (83-11-72) while in division three the one-two went to John Hankin (91-19-72) on the card from Mark Whitehead (92-20-72).
Winners of a four-ball betterball Stableford were Paul Winchester and Graham Corrin with 46 points.
Runners-up were Rod Hunt and Jason Walton (43pts) on countback from Steve and Mark Barrett.
Crompton and Royton is hosting the CLGL England national final on Sunday, April 22.
It is a four-ball betterball Stableford with the winning pair qualifying for the grand final in Spain.
The club is also running the Junior Chronicle Cup on Sunday, August 19.
It is open to all juniors within Greater Manchester with an active handicap. Entry fee is £5 per person.
