Doggy Olympics in support of skeleton star Brogan

THERE was not a snowflake in sight, but that did not stop Waggy Warehouse from staging their own doggy Olympic event.

The week-long Waggy’s Winter Olympics took place in Shaw with some days 30 dogs taking part.

There were hurdles, negotiating ramps, tricks and races with medals awarded to the winners.

Brogan and Pudding

The event came about as Pudding, the French bulldog owned by the family of Oldham’s Winter Olympian Brogan Crowley, who competed in the skeleton, is looked after at Waggy Warehouse.

Though Pudding is owned by Brogan’s brother Aarron, Brogan takes her for walkies when she returns home from the British skeleton base in Bath.

Sophie Abbott, Waggy Warehouse manager, said: “Brogan’s mother Beverley brings in Pudding for us to look after, so we got to know about her competing in the Winter Olympics.

“This was our way of cheering her on and showing our support.”
