CUSTOMERS will certainly feel right at home as they browse the impressive new showroom opened by Saddleworth Beds.
The Diggle-based company, which is run by husband and wife Paul and Jackie Lawlor and celebrating its 20th anniversary, has converted a former 17th century farmhouse in Rochdale into their second store.
With beautiful carved wooden beams, traditional features, and rolling lawns, it is an idyllic setting in which to expand their popular business.
And each of the rooms has been transformed into a comfortable and welcoming space, showcasing beds by Yorkshire-based Harrisons and southern company Millbrook.
There’s everything from beds in traditional wood to contemporary styles, as well as furniture including side tables, wardrobes, cabinets, and bookcases.
Liam, Paul’s and Jackie’s son, is manager of the new showroom which was unveiled to the public on the August Bank Holiday, and which is open six days a week.
He said: “My dad has had his eye on this farmhouse for a while, so our move here is about a year in the making.
“It’s a lot more accessible for customers with the M62 so close, and a nutarual extension of our business.
“Millbrook and Harrisons are our most popular ranges in Diggle as they are both traditional bedmakers, and we’ve got an extensive range of their products here now too.
“There are so many designs and products available that offer luxurious natural fillings – it’s not just about memory foam!”
