Gear up for the latest disruptions on the road

Residents of Royton, Shaw, and Crompton may need to re-plan their upcoming journeys due to possible disruptions caused by roadworks.

Edge Lane Street in Royton, will be most affected, with the entire street being closed between 06/08/2018 until 24/08/2018 due to highway resurfacing.

Other roads affected in the next month include:

  • Rochdale Road, in Shaw, will be using two-way signals between 09:30 – 15:30 from 24/07/2018 until 05/08/2018 due to roadworks.
  • Fraser Street, in Shaw, will be closed during 09:30 – 15:30 from 06/08/2018 to 17/08/2018 due to highway resurfacing.
  • High Barn Road, in Royton, will be closed between 09:30 – 15:30 from 06/08/2018 to 17/08/2018 due to highway resurfacing.
  • High Barn Street, in Royton, will be closed between 09:30 – 15:00 from 06/08/2018/ to 24/08/2018 due to highway resurfacing.
  • Ripponden Road in Shaw, from Sholver Lane to Dumfries Ave, will be using STOP/GO boards during off peak hours from 02/08/2018 to 10/08/2018 due to highway resurfacing.
  • Grains Bar, in Oldham, will be using STOP/GO boards during off peak hours from 02/08/2018 to 10/08/2018 due to highway resurfacing.
  • Buckstones Road in Shaw, from Buckstones Road No 300 to Nr Lamp Colum 46-48, will be using two-way signals from 06/08/2018 to 17/08/2018 due to highway authority works.

  1. When is Chamber Road being done? In a far worse state than Rochdale Road and many drivers are crossing over the centre line to avoid the holes. Accident just waiting to happen?
