How to buy a home with Shared Ownership

ASPIRING homeowners are invited to the offices of First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) to learn about new affordable homes available in Oldham through Shared Ownership.

The popular scheme offers an affordable way onto the property ladder and home ownership.

Fabric Living, a new brand from FCHO, will be hosting the Shared Ownership event in the atrium of FCHO’s First Place offices on Union Street on Saturday, March 23 from 10am-4pm.

Homes are already available to reserve at Pavilion Green, a development including 10 new three-bedroom homes for shared ownership overlooking the cricket club in Royton.

More developments will follow soon including The Woodlands in Bardsley and Pennine View in Sholver.

A range of financial, legal and sales experts will be on hand at the event to ensure you can find out everything you need to know about the Shared Ownership scheme, which opens up affordable homeownership options.

Fabric Living homes all feature light, spacious rooms, modern fitted kitchens, contemporary bathrooms and off-road parking.

They are being developed in partnership with Homes England as part of FCHO’s commitment to improving lives and meeting housing demand in the Borough.

As FCHO is a not-for-profit organisation, any profit made on the new homes will be invested into delivering more new homes.

Dave Woods, Homes and Investment Director at First Choice Homes Oldham, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming people to our Shared Ownership event.

“We want to make sure people know how the scheme works and how it could enable you to get a foot on the property ladder.

“Shared Ownership allows you to buy a proportion of your new home and then pay rent on the remainder.

“Since launching our Pavilion Green development a few weeks ago we have been overwhelmed by the interest. People can’t believe these beautiful homes are within their price range.

“If you are thinking about becoming a home owner in the near future, we’d encourage you to drop in to learn about the new developments and how you could soon be the proud owner of a new home in Oldham.”

For more information drop in to the Shared Ownership event between 10am-4pm or contact the sales agents on 0161 393 5239 or email: sales@fabricliving.co.uk
