Ahead of National Tree Week ‘Friends of Crompton Moor’ has been celebrating some of their tree planting heroes and sharing their stories.
They are now asking for help and support to plant more trees through donations.
By donating £10 you can help plant a tree, you can also donate online or text ROOT10 £10 to 70070.
Members of the public are warmly welcomed to join the group at a Tree Party to mark the end of National Tree Week.
- Saturday Dcember 1, 10am – 3pm at Crompton Moor, Buckstones Road, Shaw, Oldham, OL2 8LX.
Whether you give 1 day, 1 hour or 1 week, by becoming a Citizen Forester, you’re spreading the word about the City of Trees movement and helping us to achieve our vision of planting a tree for every man, woman and child across Greater Manchester.
All tools and equipment provided. Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Crompton Moor can get very cold, wet and windy please do wrap up warm! Light refreshments are provided.
