Northwood MD Phil Gee announced the award at the company’s prestigious black tie annual award ceremony at Jury’s Inn, Hinckley Island.

The awards followed a highly successful national conference, with the theme Together Towards Tomorrow! that was sponsored by LetAlliance and Northwood Insurance Services.

“Northwood is very keen to recognise the achievements of our highest performing franchisees each year and I am really pleased Mike and his team are winners of our Auction Sales category,” said Phil.

“Mike opened Northwood Oldham in 2009 and runs a fantastic business, based on High Street, Lees.

“The superb efforts of his sales team in running this very innovative auction scheme have really paid off in a competitive market.

“Mike has always been an extremely progressive business owner, who recognises market opportunities and maximises their potential.

“I am delighted to present him with this award, and wish him every success for the future.”

On receiving the award, Mike said: “We are delighted to have won this award, and very pleased that our on-line auctions have been so successful, via the Iam Sold scheme.

“This is a very modern way of selling houses, that can benefit many different types of clients who value the security that this scheme offers, and the fact that all fees are paid by the buyer.

“2018 has been a record year for Northwood Oldham in terms of sales, and in fact auctions are quite a small proportion of our sales, and the market remains very strong.

“I have a fantastic sales team, headed up by David Yates and Lyndsey Wild, but we also have a very strong lettings team who do a great job.

“We recently completed on an acquisition that added 200 properties to our lettings portfolio – and we have moved to a new office, so we are incredibly busy and looking forward to another successful year in 2019.”
