WITH more than 20 years in the trade Peter Stevenson knows his way round a bathroom or two.
That’s why Shaw’s newest business is tap of the list when it comes to finding a new bath, shower or loo.
For Peter, his premises at 122 Milnrow Road, are the culmination of a career spent fitting bathrooms of all shapes, sizes and designs.
Opened for the first time on Saturday, June 9, customers to PS Bathrooms are also guaranteed a friendly, family welcome in addition to first class service and products.
And it’s worth a visit alone to wonder at a state-of-the-art, remote controlled toilet!
Peter and his team spent three months transforming the shop, which is just a few minutes’ walk from Shaw town centre.
And he describes it as his toughest assignment.
“Not so much because of the physical side but because I wanted it looking just right,” he told the Correspondent.
“I have been in the trade for 20 years but this is the first time I have opened a show room.
“I just thought it was time to take the next step. I looked at a few locations before settling on this one.
“I am really pleased with the finished job and I hope customers will be equally impressed.”
Experienced Peter will continue as chief fitter and is supported by partner Karen Caffery, who works on quotes and design, sons Gavin and Aiden plus nephew, Lewis.
It’s that personal touch throughout the start to finish process of design, measuring up, quoting, fitting and after-care service that Peter believes will keep him ahead of competitors.
“We can cater for everyone and travel anywhere,” he said.
“We pride ourselves on long-term relationships with our customers.
“Our products on display are from the Vitra designer collection. There are only so many companies that can sell it,” he added.
“And this new showroom is the perfect place for customers to see what we have to offer and to meet the team.”
You will find PS Bathrooms open on Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm and on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
