Purple 4 Polio thanks to Rotary

SPRING each year sees a beautiful purple carpet of crocus blooming in many communities thanks to the Purple Crocus Corm planting to raise awareness of the Rotary fight for a world free of polio.

Crompton and Royton Rotary has just handed over 800 crocus bulbs to Thornham St James School to add to the 1,000 they planted last year.

They have also donated another 3,000 to be planted in Royton Park to enhance the natural woodland walk.

If you are a local school or organisation and would like to join in this yearly project then contact Rotary.
