A ROYTON man has been jailed for drugs offences.
Daniel Barnett, 43, of Three Acre Avenue, pleaded guilty at Stockport Magistrates’ Court to possession of heroin and cocaine in Ashton.
He was jailed for seven days for the heroin offence and a further seven days to run concurrently for the cocaine.
The court ruled the reason for a custodial sentence was because “offence so serious because appalling record for like offences”.
The court ordered the drugs be forfeited and destroyed by police and he was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge to fund victim services.
Barnett was also jailed for a further 14 days, making 21 in total, after admitting failing to comply with a supervision order following an earlier release from prison.
