A ROYTON smoker has been ordered to pay a total of more than £430 after being found to have thrown a cigarette butt to the ground.

Now she has been hit in the pocket after a case against her was proved at Tameside Magistrates Court.
Miss Owen, 45, committed the act on Chorlton Street in Manchester city centre on October 19.
She prosecuted under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and was punished financially.
A fine of £220 was handed out, while she was ordered to pay an £88 surcharge to fund victim services and costs of £125.
That makes it a total of £433 and she has until July 22 to pay.
