A SPATE of burglaries has contributed to Shaw’s crime figures for February and March.
Officers from GMP Royton and Shaw are urging home owners and businesses to ensure their properties are locked and secured.
In addition to the burglaries and vehicle crime, Royton and Shaw local policing team assisted First Choice Homes with an eviction due to persistent anti-social behaviour by the tenants.
The following incidents have been recorded since the last edition of the Correspondent:
March 11: George Street, Shaw; residential burglary between 4.15pm-10:00pm.
March 9: Trent Road, Shaw; residential burglary, garage break in between midnight and 6.15am.
March 8-11: Spring Rise, Shaw; residential burglary between 12.04pm-1.19pm.
March 8: Salt Street Shaw; theft of white ford motor vehicle at 6.50pm, registration MK13 OJE.
March 7: The Pentlands, Shaw; residential burglary between 2.30pm-4.45pm.
March 6: Moor Street, Shaw; residential burglary, offender disturbed, 10pm.
The police said: “Check your CCTV as these burglaries happened at very specific times.
“If you have clear CCTV it could be used to identify the offender.”
March 5: Laburnum Avenue, Shaw; residential burglary, 1:55am-2:05am.
March 5: Swan Court, Shaw; residential burglary, offenders disturbed, 2.30am
March 5: Oldham Road, Shaw; residential burglary, offender disturbed, 3.00am.
March 5: Oldham Road, Shaw; residential burglary, offender disturbed, 2.50am.
March 5: Oldham Road, Shaw; community burglary, 3:00am.
March 5-6: Christine Street, Shaw; theft of white Ford transit, registration WF61 FRR, 1:00pm-4:22am.
February 28 – March 1: Trent Road, Shaw; community burglary, 10.00pm-08.30am.
March 1: Market Street, Shaw; community burglary; 2.30am.
February 26: Woodhouse Road, Shaw; residential burglary, 10:30am-5:15pm.
February 26: Milnrow Road, Shaw; community burglary, 2.41am.
