CROMPTON FC enjoyed some pre-Christmas success in the North Manchester Girls League.
Four teams reached the knockout cup finals with the Under 10s and U11s Galaxy, coached by Mike Lennon and Mike Walton, going on to achieve penalty shootout success.
The U12s and U15s missed out after two close matches.
Chris Leach from Crompton FC said: “It’s great to see the teams getting to the finals to represent the club and the younger Galaxy’s have a great team spirit and fully deserve their wins.
“Getting to the final is an achievement in itself as my U15s did and I know that even though we lost, the parents and players enjoyed the cup run.
“Matt Drogan’s U12s game was also very close and they hope to make up for it in the league in what is turning out to be one of the closest chases for the title in years.
“Four teams are currently on the same points with Crompton’s U12s top on goal difference.”
