Song for the street – youngster George ready to entertain you

GEORGE Denson is no stranger to performing but tonight the talented teenager will entertain to a select new audience.

A member of North Stars theatre company in Shaw, George aims to be in good voice to help recognise the ongoing work of NHS workers involved in the fight against coronavirus.

Following the weekly Clap for the NHS at 8pm, 16-year-old George, a pupil at Crompton House School, will perform a ‘song on the street’ tribute outside his home on Cleverleys Avenue, Balderstone.

Mum Caroline hopes to live stream George’s renditions of I’m Feeling Good, and She Used to be Mine.

The family has put up Union Jack flags for the ‘concert’ and told neighbours of George’s plans. “Just in case anyone objected,” laughed proud Caroline.

“But it is something he was keen to do and hopefully people will enjoy it.”

George is a young leader with North Stars where he has attended for five years. And he continues his musical journey later this year after gaining a place at Pendleton Musical Theatre College in Salford.
