Oldham Council and the Town Centre Business Partnership are inviting residents to Parliament Square for the annual Easter-themed event, Spring into Oldham.
On Saturday March, 24 from 11am-4pm, Oldham town centre will be packed with free fun activities for all the family to enjoy.
With opportunities to meet Mim-Mim, the star of CBeebies’ show Kate and Mim-Mim, and a petting farm – which includes real bunnies, chicks and a Jersey calf – it’s an event not to be missed.
Residents can join Mim-Mim in bunny hop activity sessions throughout the day (11am, 1pm and 3pm) and can also enjoy a live showing of The World of Beatrix Potter (11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm).
There will also be a Giant Easter Egg Hunt in Tommyfield Market Hall, and seasonal-themed arts and crafts activities.
Councillor Jean Stretton, Leader of Oldham Council, said: “What better way to welcome the start of spring than with a fantastic day out for all of the family in the town centre?
“With free entertainment and activities lined-up, this is also a good opportunity to pick up some Easter treats too, or some new springtime clothes.”
Send us your pictures from the day via Twitter @OldhamCouncil with the hashtag #LoveOldham. Don’t forget that if you’re looking for somewhere to park on the day, there is up to three hours free parking on all council-owned car parks at weekends – just remember you do need to get a ticket and display it in your vehicle.
