STEP inside Simply Beautiful Floors in Shaw town centre and you have got the world of floor coverings at your fingertips as well as your feet.

The Regent Street showroom is one of a handful able to call itself an ‘Inspire Showroom’ and it is easy to see why.

Simply Beautiful Floors is an independent retailer of nearly 20 years standing, specialising in Karndean products, often described as the ‘royalty’ of floor coverings.

While not a franchise, the premises display all the Karndean products currently available and has been bestowed by the Worcestershire based company with the title of an ‘Inspire Showroom’
It’s a badge of honour that director and owner Gary Shaw wears with pride.

With computerised design table and an 84 inch touch screen monitor to display every inch of a customer’s ideal floor plan, it is easy to see why the showroom has been selected as one of the best.

“We were the second to be kitted out like this,” said Gary, a fitter with 30 years’ experience. “We are one of only six in the country that is an ‘Inspire Showroom.’

“It is very different to what you see in most other shops. Yes, we have the full board displays, but every swatch is computerised.

“Basically, we are here to help people as much as possible.

“We are not just selling the product, it is advice as well, that customers require.”

With experience and a general love of interior design the showroom staff can offer many ideas hoping they will fit the customers taste.

With brother-in-law Peter managing the showroom, now joined by son Greg, this really is a family concern.

They have a great team of six in-house fitters all who are fully qualified. There is no job too challenging for this team.

It is that customer service, attention to detail and a healthy turnover that makes Simply Beautiful Floors stand out from the rest.

Their Karndean range is displayed on the ground floor, while there is a first-floor showroom of carpets and cushion floor vinyls.

With advice in abundance and a ‘no hard sell’ policy in place it makes a refreshing change not to be chased round a showroom.

“We have worked hard at maintaining a friendly, personal and detailed service, generating many strong relationships with our suppliers and customers,” said Gary.
