NORTH Stars Theatre Company is shining brightly having brought Broadway and West End star Kerry Ellis, together with her MD Steve Pritchett, to Manchester to run a West End Masterclass last month.

The packed workshops took place at Hope Studios and were led by Kerry, who has starred in leading roles in ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Miss Saigon’, ‘CATS’, ‘Wonderland’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and of course ‘Wicked’.
Using her wealth of experience, she put on a variety of musical theatre activities.
VIP participants were also able to perform solo for Kerry and Steve and receive invaluable feedback.
This was the first in a series of professional masterclasses organised by North Stars director Linzi McCoy, with a West End vocal workshop and a West End show workshop being announced soon for this summer.
North Stars can now reveal that Kerry and Steve have also agreed to become patrons of North Stars.

Linzi said: “We are over the moon that Kerry and Steve are doing us the great honour of joining musical theatre leading lady Ria Jones as patrons of North Stars.
“They endorse all that we do and all we are about at North Stars and supporting us in bringing the joy of performing arts to people of all ages and all backgrounds.
“We will be keeping Ria, Kerry and Steve updated with all our news and dates for special events and look forward to welcoming them to North Stars in the future.”
It is a busy time for North Stars. As well as the West End workshops, North Stars Youth Theatre is working hard preparing for their summer production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ at the Grange Arts Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24. Tickets go on sale at the end of this month.

The Adult Musical Theatre Company is delighted to take part in a gala fundraising event for Destination Florida, which raised £15,000 for the charity.
They are now busy preparing their new charity concert in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice which will take place this September.
