TWO men have been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with the rape of a woman in Oldham.
Ewan Gaylard, 28, of Huddersfield Road, Oldham, has been charged with one count of rape and grievous bodily harm (section 18 assault).
Declan O’Neill, 22, of Peveril Road, Oldham has also been charged with one count of rape as well as one count of grievous bodily harm (section 20 assault).
Both were remanded in custody with O’Neill appearing at Manchester Crown Court, Minshull Street, on Saturday, February 23 and Gaylard at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, February 25.
They been remanded in custody to appear at Minshull Street on March 25.
In the early hours of February 20 a woman in her 30s was raped by two men at a property in the Greenacres area of Oldham where she was also beaten and cut.
