Witness appeal after roundabout accident

POLICE are investigating after a collision on Salts Street, Shaw at the junction of Glebe Street where a motorcyclist was seriously injured.

Shortly after 8.40pm on Thursday, April 25, a black Kawasaki KMX 125 was travelling along Salts Street when it collided with a grey Honda CRV at the roundabout.

Due to the collision, the motorcyclist – a 17-year-old boy – lost control of the bike and collided with a garden wall.

He was taken to hospital and underwent surgery for serious injuries.

A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and then released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Investigators are appealing for information and want to speak to anyone who saw the incident or saw either vehicle in the area before the collision.
