EIGHTIES face Clare Grogan is a woman of many talents: singer, actress, author, restaurant owner, doting mum.
Now the voice of Altered Images is back on the road and heading to Holmfirth Picturedrome on Friday, March 8.

Glasgow born Clare originally shot to fame in the Bafta award winning comedy film Gregory’s Girl later going on to appear in Red Dwarf’, Father Ted, Eastenders, Skins and was a presenter on music station VH1.
Fronting Altered Images, Clare enjoyed rapid fame as the band enjoyed worldwide success, selling millions of records and topping the charts in several countries.
They recorded three top 10 albums, six top 40 hits, were voted best new group at the NME awards and in the same year invited to play at the Royal Command Performance.
Best known for their number one smash, Happy Birthday, other Images songs included I Could Be Happy and Don’t Talk To Me About Love.
Her film credits include: Gregory’s Girl, Comfort and Joy, Jilting Jo, Wedding Belles, Smallest Game in Town, the Penalty King, Bafta winning drama, The Wee man and most recently Delirum.
Clare has presented film, travel and music shows for TV and radio including the BBC’s One Show, STV’s Scotland’s Real Heroes and ITV’s Dream Ticket.
She has presented for BBC 6music and BBC Radio Scotland.
Clare’s debut novel, Tallulah and the Teenstars, reached number two in the Waterstone’s Children’s book chart.
