SWIMMER Jess Fullalove has landed another major championship appearance despite the disappointment of missing a Commonwealth Games medal.

The former Crompton House School pupil is part of a 43-strong squad selected for the European Championships in Glasgow from August 3-9.
Jessica, 21, from Royton, finished seventh in the 200 metres backstroke final on the Gold Coast, Australia.
The event was won by Canada’s Kylie Masse in a Games record of 2:05.98. Jess, who edged out team mate, Liz Simmonds, clocked 2:11.74.
She was also part of the 4×100 metres medley relay squad that reached the final only to finish fourth.
On the Euro squad selection Chris Spice, National Performance Director for British Swimming, said: “There were some excellent performances on the Gold Coast.
“But now our focus in on our benchmark meet of the year, the European Championships.
“We are looking at this as a great opportunity to compete on a huge stage, and is an important part of our planning towards Tokyo 2020.
“As this is a home meet it is a great opportunity for our young talent to experience international competition which is why we have chosen such a large team.”
