SANTA Claus certainly enjoys his trips to Shaw as for a second successive day he made an appearance in the town.
Fresh from helping switch on the Christmas lights, he visited Dunwood Park to head a lantern parade of youngsters, parents and Friends of the Park.
Prior to the brisk march, the park café was a hive of activity thanks to Oldham Play Action Group.
The Greenacres-based organisation, whose motto is ‘taking play across the borough’, oversaw the making of lanterns and star banners for the parade.
Refreshments were served and visitors also took part in a Chinese tombola where raffle ticket purchasers can choose which gifts they would like to win.
Following the parade, the walkers enjoyed a short carol service.
