A man is in a critical condition in hospital following a collision in Royton.
Shortly before 11.38am on Friday, February 15, police were called to reports of a collision between a white Mazda 3 and a grey Range Rover on Broadway at the junction with Hilbrae Avenue.
The Mazda was turning right from Hilbrae Avenue onto Broadway when it was involved in a collision with the Range Rover.
The driver of the Mazda, a 76-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Enquiries are ongoing.
Police Constable Neil Pennington, of GMP’s Specialist Operations Roads Policing team, said: “A man remains in hospital having suffered life-threatening injuries, and my thoughts are with him and his family at this time.
“Our enquiries into this collision remain ongoing, and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch with us.
“We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of the events leading up to the collision.”
