PATIENTS forced to seek treatment at practices in Royton or Shaw after the closure of Trent Road surgery don’t have to leave High Crompton for their prescriptions and medicines.
That is the message from Lifestyle Pharmacy serving customers in the area for more than two decades.
As reported in the previous issue of the Correspondent, the surgery – a satellite branch of the Parks Medical Practice in Royton – closed its doors for the final time on January 31, 2020.
A notice on the former doctors’ states: “All patients registered with Parks Medical Practice can continue to receive care at Royton Health and Wellbeing Centre and are not required to register elsewhere.
“If any patients registered with Parks decide to change their GP they can do so by approaching any other practice. All Oldham GP practices are currently open to new registrations.”
However, Lifestyle have now issued a statement to remind residents their Trent Road premises remain open for business.
A spokesperson said: “I would like to confirm Lifestyle pharmacy is fully operating on Trent Road as normal for the existing patients and for the growing population in this area of High Crompton.
“We aim to provide the best service we can for our patients.
“We thank you for your continued custom and support and would be grateful if you could share that we are remaining open.
“Nothing will change to your current collection or delivery of medicines. Support your local independent pharmacy, where you are number one.”
