LEGENDARY 16-time world darts champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor takes to the stage at Oldham’s Queen Elizabeth Hall on Saturday, October 20.
The most successful arrows ace of all time retired from the professional tour after losing to Rob Cross in January’s PDC World Championship final.
Now for one night only the 58-year-old will compete at the DeckDirect Darts Showdown in Oldham’s darts night.
Taylor will be joined by current BDO World Champion Glen Durrant, from Middlesbrough, and three-times PDC world championship semi-finalist Darryl Fitton, from Stockport.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to coming and playing in Oldham. It’s great to be playing in an event like this.
“The fans up there love their darts and the venue was hosting darts tournaments decades ago. It has got real history and I’m over the moon to be playing there.
“It’s an interesting event because you’ve got some rising local stars who will have a lot of support but that will make for a great atmosphere.
“If you’re not doing anything on Saturday night, come along – you won’t be disappointed.”
Also appearing will be local professionals David Evans, Bradley Brooks, Callum Loose and Jim Moston who are tipped as four of the sport’s upcoming stars.
Fans will not only get to sample the unique atmosphere of a night at the darts while witnessing a sporting legend in action but there will also be opportunities to play the professionals.
