The award was presented on the first anniversary of the death of the club legend at the age of 63.

Gordon, who was from Shaw, joined the club’s commercial department in 1986 and later became programme editor, club commentator, media manager and latterly club secretary at the time of his sudden death.

Roy, who helped set up Radio Latics in 1964, is in his 55th season as a club volunteer.

He later became press steward, matchday press officer and summariser for commentaries on the club’s iplayer.

Roy, 78, became a season-ticket holder at Latics in 1947. He had his own printing business that was based in Shaw.

Alan, meanwhile, has been club photographer for the past decade and a fan since 1980.

He works for Chadderton-based Armacell Uk Ltd where he teaches and audits world class manufacturing techniques at the company’s factories worldwide.

Both Roy and Alan worked closely with Gordon at Oldham Athletic and they each described it as being emotional to receive the awards from Gordon’s daughter, her partner AJ and new Latics’ manager Frank Bunn.
