Oldham solicitor earns place in prestigious Legal 500 Hall of Fame

AN OLDHAM solicitor has been inducted into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, recognising his longstanding expertise and reputation in employment law.

Alan Lewis, partner and head of employment at Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers, has achieved the distinction after holding Leading Partner status in the independent legal directory for many years.

The Hall of Fame recognises lawyers who have consistently received the highest level of recognition from The Legal 500 over an extended period.

Alan is understood to be the only lawyer in the North West to have achieved Hall of Fame status in the directory’s employee and union firm category, highlighting his standing in a specialist area of employment law.

The Legal 500 assesses law firms and individuals through extensive research, including client feedback, interviews with practitioners and analysis of their work in specific legal fields.

Alan’s achievement also comes as Pearson’s employment team retains recognition in the directory’s two employment categories: Employment: employee/union firms and Employment.

The firm is one of only six law firms in the North West to be ranked in both categories.

Alan has also received recognition from another legal directory, having recently been named a Preeminent Employment Lawyer for Employee and Union Representation in Manchester in the 2026 Doyle’s Guide.

Joanne Ormston, director at Pearson Solicitors, said: “This is an amazing achievement for Alan and the firm as a whole. Alan’s dedication, expertise and reputation are second to none, and this honour reflects not only his personal standing but also the strength of the team around him.

“We are incredibly proud to see Alan recognised in this way. His commitment to his clients and to the profession is exceptional, and this recognition is thoroughly deserved.”

Alan, who is based at the firm’s Uppermill office, said the accolade marked an important moment in his career.

“This is a huge milestone in my career, and one I am extremely proud of. I have long valued the recognition I have received through The Legal 500, and achieving Hall of Fame status is a particularly special moment for me.

“I am very proud to share this achievement with Pearson Solicitors and my colleagues. I am grateful for the support and encouragement I have received throughout my career, and I look forward to continuing to provide the highest standard of advice and representation to my clients.”

Alan advises on a wide range of employment matters, representing clients in his specialist field.

His latest recognition adds to a career built on years of work in employment law and further strengthens the profile of Pearson Solicitors’ employment team.
